how to judge whether the computer shutdown using c#

I ping the computer in our workgroup to judge whether the computer shutdown.But the mehtod has a drawback: when the computer install the firewall soft,I cann't ping the computer. So, whate can i do?

Hi,

If YES would be your answer for my comment then refer this link[^].
Here you can find whether remote system is up and running, if its running then it gives beep sound.
