Converting any type video to mp4 or other formate using mediaHandler.dll

Hi Friends,

i developed one charity website and a person able to uploading any type video and this video converting to .mp4 file formate using NReco.VideoConverter.dll

its working perfect for local machine but (not working on sever side) when i hosting website to GoDaddy web hosting error will show like below

Cannot convert media: This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator

but i uploaded same website to FTP server its worked perfect. i don't known why raise this error only GoDaddy web hosting

I'm guessing because the program is blocked by group policy. I suggest you contact your system administrator.
Most likely GoDaddy wants to avoid having people use their servers to pirate videos. Or just to reduce the work-load on their processors. You will likely have to do the work locally.

Solution 1

You need to talk to GoDaddy - it's their group policy that forbids the application, so they are the only ones who can make an exception or change the policy.

thank you OriginalGriff for quick response for my question and GoDaddy technical email not there our website and i got GoDaddy technical supporting email id from google support@godaddy.com but no use any one known GoDaddy technical person email id for raising this issues

But friend I saw goddy server and person uploaded videos is there but not converting to

hi friends,
i changed from mediaHandler.dll to NReco.VideoConverter.dll file name but still show same error as well as try to contact godaddy customer care

Your problem lies on the type of hosting you have, shared hosting will not allow you to do this, as the resources of the server are shared (that's why the name) and if you do that kind of functions it will reduce the resources for the other sites hosted in that server.

You can change the type of hosting to a VPS, a dedicated server or try to get your VM's (Cloud Hosting) with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or Digital Ocean, yes, it will be more expensive, they either charge you for the Windows license or you have to bring your own, this is extra to the hosting prices, that you pay by the hour and by the GB you transfer in and out , but because you have full control of the OS and dedicated resources you will be able to accomplish what you're looking for

thanks to all reply your answer and i chatted godaddy Client. video converstion using NReco.VideoConverter.dll not supported because this dll invoke ffmpeg.exe file so godaddy not support this file
