You have nothing to indicate what the size of the array actually is. In main() you pass an array of 8 ints, but then do a later check for 20. You should be passing the array length:
void print_iterator(int integer_array[], size_t integer_array_len, size_t index)
Thus the call to print_iterator would be:
print_iterator(ints, sizeof(ints) / sizeof(int), (size_t) -1);
An alternative is to have a known stop character. Say -1 ends the array. You would then loop until the index or -1, whichever comes first.
