What a bunch of rubbish!

If the grading is done between 0 and 10 any possible grade should be given if circumstance requires. That means you can get a 0 if you really, really suck or 10 if you did really, really well. I hate it when there is a no zero policy or when teachers say "I never give a 10".

In fact, I gave up on my photography lessons for two reasons, one of them because the grades where always "sufficient" or "above sufficient" for all the students. (from the 5 or 6 possible categories)

Categories A, B, C, C+ or whatever are equally worthless.

I'm ranting this, because more and more I hear complaints about kids lacking basic knowledge in certain cases or that things should be done differently and more "modern". (Otherwise they might not be "receptive" to the subject at hand?)

Just my two cents...
