Everyone has their favourite way of laying out code to make it readable. There is only one thing in common between all these formats, they're all wrong.
They must be because they all make code less readable to the majority of other people.

There is also something else the C/C++/C# community has in common and that's the lack of an IDE that will present the code to you in Your-Format(tm) and present the same code to me in My-Format(tm) while integrating with a source control system that recognizes that it is still the same code.
Until we give up holding code the old fashioned way in text files and move to a proper source database system with fully comprehensive parsing and generating capabilites this problem will not go away.

On the up side if all the effort that gets put into arguing about which is the best format and what the detailed formatting rules should be was put into developing such a system instead we'd have one by the end of the year. One huge bonus would of course be that Git would then be obselete. Surely it must be worth the effort Big Grin | :-D
