Microsoft sends out mixed messages about Nokia Lumia brand
You know, the one thing I wouldn't do if I were Microsoft right now (and we're all glad I'm not) is put out confusing messages around mobile. Fortunately, they have brilliant people in charge who offer this wisdom, "If you're in a race and you're in third place and you want to pass the cars in front of you, then you have to drive faster than them." In less than a decade, phone memory cards have grown from 128MB to 128GB
Not that I'm complaining, but what do you put on something of that size? (Oh, I know, "usage rises to meet available space"). I guess it's handy if you want to move your movie collection between phones easily. (more: The Verge)

I guess it's too much to ask for to just get their features rolled into the Android core? Ah well, this gives the (probably justifiable) paranoid a new choice. (more: Techcrunch)
Boeing’s Black: This Android phone will self-destruct
Not to be confused with the Blackphone, of course. This one is secure according to the US government, while the other one is just secure. (more: Ars Technica)
IBM courts mobile developers for Watson platform
Here you go. This is about as close to a Watson as any of us will get. Pitch IBM with your best app ideas, because they must be out of them (probably sold them to Lenovo). (more: ZDNet)
