WebParts are placed in WebPart Zones on Site Pages which are executed in protected mode. In order to be used in protected mode controls must be registered as safe in the web.config file for the web application.

That is why you post a question here, to get a response. You don't need to ask for one, just part of the service.
I have a SharePoint root site name "http://servername". Now I have created another subsite under the root site ("http://servername/test").
Now I want access this sub site using some other url i.e. if user types a URL say "http://xyz.com" in browser then internally it should redirect to the sub site "http://servername/test" and show its data.
I know AAM can be used for the web application but how can I use this with sub site. Also please let me know if I can achieve it by doing some setting on IIS level or writing some custom code.
First of all, i would like to emphasize the fact that i am far from being a SharePoint specialist ^^.
I inherited a project from a former fellow worker because i'm the only ".net specialist" in the company (with my amazing 6 month experience in .net when I was a student... 6 years ago )
This project is a website interfaced with SharePoint. SharePoint as a filesystem to stock document information (média, text...)
Until now, I have been able to handle all the stuff about SharePoint but I am stuck by an unsolvable problem (for me at last ^^):
One of the method of my specific website use an obsolet property: Order. According to MSDN, this property is obsolet and initialized with -1.
My question is: What is the method/property replacing this obsolet method? How can I get the order information from this Area class ?

Looking at the documentation, it appears that you simply set the EventFiringEnabled property to true or false as required.
We are still on SharePoint 2007 where you can use DisableEventFiring() and EnableEventFiring().
Now that you mention it setting EventFiringEnabled to true or false is what you do for SharePoint 2010 which explains why the documentation is saying that they are obsolete because it is for SharePoint 2010.
I have started developing on SharePoint not long ago.
A good book you could read is SharePoint 2007 How-To by Ishai Sagi. It got me on the right track. Anyway, I started learning it by reading MSDN library. The content there is not very well written but it is not that bad.
I want to add find and replace functionality in sharepoint 2010 using custom development.
For this , I have added a custom tab on the ribbon and on clicking on that ribbon i want to display the find and replace application page...
Mainly I want to add this functionality for find and replace of the text..
