Thanks for your response. When i was doing the same, i am facing an issue like whenever i try to create a new column in the list, it was redirecting me to my custom login page. This is the scenario with the Cookieless session when turned it off every thing was working fine.
I have Sharepoint Sharepoint 2010 Work space Installed on my Windows 7 Machine and i am trying to use it with Office 365 site when i try to sync the workspace i get the error "The field "AppAuthor" contains a lookup to list "AppPrincipals" that cannot be resolved. The target list may not be part of this site."

I don't really know. I never had this problem and in the moment I don't have any Office 365 site. But I have an idea what might be the problem.
It sounds like the Office 365 is based on SharePoint 2013 and you are using SPWS 2010. I tried to connect SPWS 2010 with my local SP 2013 and I had problems with it.
The Problem is that the functionality of SPWS 2010 and the nextgen tool SkyDrive 2013 has changed a lot. So there might be compatibility issues.

Well, that's problematic. As far as I'm concerned this won't work properly. I user SharePoint 2010 and 2013 and I'm working with InfoPath 2010 für SharePoint 2010 and InfoPath 2013 for SharePoint 2013. It's no problem to use InfoPath 2010 for SharePoint 2013 but if I try InfoPath 2013 with the SharePoint 2010 server, error messages are thrown. I don't know if there is a workaround.

It should. Normally the upgrade won't cause any bigger problems, when you worked correctly with your solutions and changes.
SharePoint 2013 and InfoPath 2013 are working good together. I use them weekly (not daily).
I have created a custom approval workflow using Sharepoint Designer 2010. The workflow starts when a document is selected for publish a major version and routes it to different approvers depending on what the document is. The workflow seems to be working OK, but at the end of the workflow the approval status is not updated. I tried adding the "set field in current item" action at the end of the workflow, but approval status is not in the drop down menu.
I can see that the approval workflow that comes with Sharepoint has an option to "Update the approval status after the workflow is completed" and I was tried creating a workflow using this to see what this does to the workflow process in sharepoint designer, but after creating a workflow in the Sharepoint website, I cannot see the workflow in sharepoint designer (I can see the workflows I have created from scratch under "List workflows" and the "Globally reusable workflows" but not the one I have just created.
Can anyone tell me either how to look at the design of the new workflow I created through sharepoint website, or how to update the approval status in a custom workflow?
By the way, I have I have Full control permissions (I am part of the sandbox owner group)
I cannot use copy paste in rich-text box through Infopath published in my sharepoint site,
is it limitation from windows server or you might know how to enable this (copy & paste) feature in rich text box of Infopath,
Now I'm using SQL server database backup/restore for my sharepoint site,
I stopped using STSADM command for Backup Restore due to the
"Error: The backup is from a different version of SharePoint"
I get this error when I use STSADM -O restore on the same server that i got Backup!
I checked my SharePoint Farm current version from :Central Administration->>Servers in Farm

Simple answer: no
Transactions are not designated in SharePoint (not in 2010, not in 2013). Why not, you may ask. The answer (official by Microsoft) is easy. It's no Database but it's a asynchronous collaboration system.
As it's asynchronous and every action is done by timers, it's not possible to include transactions by standard.
So you may ask, if there is a none out-of-box-way for transactions?
The answer is: it might be. It depends on the things you have to do. But many functionalities are not possible with such a workaround and it's a lot of programming work todo.
Well you have to implement it manually. If there is control on a list needed the best way is to put the data into a database and to import that data into a list. So transactions are available.
The SharePoint BCS would help there.
