is there a way to have that SharePoint List (Modified in InfoPath) field populate with the current user if someone else is later editing the item?
Note: Setting default value "username()" function only populates in Newform not in Edit form. any workaround?
I have a standard search resultSearchWebPart.
I want to delete in my search duplicates on file names.
For that we must redo the query with the KeywordQuery.
I managed to get a result in a ResultTable variable without my duplicate files.
This code I put in the Render function, but then we need to develop the display in my webpart (writer).
My problem is that I can not replace the result of the current query in the standard view of my webpart (with the display template).
Do you have an idea how to replace the standard search query of my webpart by keeping the standard view. My goal is to remove duplicates on filenames.
ie: I do not want to redesign the my webpart to make it a fully customized webpart.

Hi, we have a standard SharePoint 2007 Intranet. I would like some users to be able to edit a document however they cannot see the Site Actions -> View All Site Content. I'd rather they don't have access to edit pages, what is the best way of providing this?
I've given them access on the file itself however when they open the document and edit and save it, a message appears saying the file is read-only. Can anybody please advise/help? Thanks

To allow user account to edit document without having permission, We can Stop Inheriting and add a group and give a Contribute level Permission to a group

Once you done with Installation of SP2013 Server
Open SP Management shell using the farm service command
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures
now it will upgrade in 6 different steps in COmmand shell
Go to central Administration there you can see manage servers in Farm according to that you can apply patches in SP Server
I have a SharePoint Custom List Application that in some cases could go
Dashboard.aspx has a link that calls Editform_Gates.aspx with the following passing parameter values for record ID and SOURCE
The EditForm_Gates.aspx then has a couple links that call other pages to add/update children associated records
The problem I have is once you get to that third deep code if you hit cancel or save it does go back to the second page the EditForm_Gates.aspx but from there if you hit cancel or back it loses the SOURCE= from the first call and does not know where to go..
What is the proper way to do this and if any samples or examples are out there I would greatly appreciate it.
