new matches up with delete. new[] matches up with delete[]. Calling delete[] on something that was new'd will result in a heap corruption.

To fix the problem:

void main()
{
	char* MyText = new char;
	cin>>MyText;
	delete MyText;
}


or

void main()
{
	char* MyText = new char[100];
	cin>>MyText;
	delete [] MyText;
}
