Hello sir

I have created new database from SQL SERVER 2005 EXPRESS (Test database)and then start that wizard and then select Test database from listbox and then finish but my friend still it's same error

In my system, I am having VS Prof and SQL Server Ent. Edition. I have just create sample application, its working fine !!!!
Are you trying with same application ? or have made a new after the database installation. What about the connection string !!!

yes i have tried with different application and which connection string? because there is no database in this application so could you please tell me about this if you have time today othervise 2more no problem

Hi,

I have a trusted site (https), and I am trying to open the attachment through

window.open('https://IPAddress/VirtualDirectiory/SomeFileName.txt');

This is not happening. But when I try with "http" I am able to open.

Any one help me in this.

Maybe the popup opens and closes immediately, Explorer's download warning may couse this. try to change the settings in explorer security section Automatic propmpt for downloads to enabled. Or try to add http site as trusted. Lets see if the problem continues.

Just provide a link to the file, or just write the file from the server down to the client with the right content type in the header, so that Word will open it on the client.

I am currently working on a website that is an advertisement portal for businesses. Advertisers can create an account, select various options for listing (State, caregory, etc) and upload a graphic is measured in a multiples of an "unit". An "unit" is an image or a flash file that is 180px wide and 120 high. An advertiser can choose multiple units that are horizontal or vertical, i.e, 2 single units aligned horizontally or 2 single units aligned vertically.

I have gone to the point where the the website is working fine. I am stuck at a point I am going to lay out the "units" and display them properly, without any empty space between them. As an example, if we had 4 advertisements, a horizontal 2 unit ad, a vertical 2 unit and 2 single unit ad, like so -

I am currently storing the advertisements units in a database with attributes that are used in the web form to build a table (i.e., colspan, rowspan, etc). I am not sure if this is the right approach, I fear it is not. I shall be very grateful if I got some advice.

Hi,
m working on a application in which i want to find the online users and offline users.I hv created a table in database which is being updated after successful login of each user,but my problem is that I want to update that table after each User's Session End event.But Session_End() event is not firing.I m having only way to write the code for Logout button,but I want to update the table if a user closes his browser or session ends automatically.How to work with Session_End()
Help me...........

first thing you cannot capture event if browser is closed by user...

second thing your session on end event will only work if your session mode in configuration file is set to inproc.

That's wrong. session_end will be fired when a session abandoned or the specified timeout reaches. It will fire even if the browser is not active AFAIK.

I think,when user just close the browser then Session_End is not fired.Have you went through it ever.

There is a best practice for this issue.

You develop your mainpage with two frames one is hidden and one is main with 100% height.

All your project works at 100% frame. And at 0% frame you write a javascript code to open a popup at client side window.onunload event (body.onunload does not work for ie7 tabs). And at that opened window means that user left your site.

But it is still impossible to capture if user closed computer via power button.
