Hello,
I have some controls created at ItemDatabound. (created at itemdatabound because at item databound , i know which type of control to create).
In these controls, i have a button which increases size according to its Text. i want to fix the size for all other controls based on size of this button but when i get the width of button, it gives me 0 pixels.
Can anybody provide an idea on how to set the width for the rest of the controls.
i have tried grid's pre render method but somehow i cant find any of the controls created in itemdatabound .

You need to do one thing.
Just change size of every dependent controls when the size of your button
changed. Not on ItemDataBound event.
You can use load event for the same.

If you look at a photosynth on Bing there are links under More Information that tell you how it works, and how to create your own. What the application does is take a large number of photographs and combine them to create a panoramic image. When you move your mouse over it the white polygons represent the individual photos that were used.

Is there a way to add source-structured inputs dynamically to html through c#?
I'm adding inputs (HtmlGenericControls) dynamically to an ASP.NET.
If I have 10 inputs I'd like to "view source" and see them neatly stacked on top of each other instead of rendered back-to-back in a big block.
I've tried adding the following literal controls after each input in the loop but it doesn't seem to do anything:
LiteralControl newLine = (new LiteralControl(((char)10).ToString()));
LiteralControl carriageReturn = (new LiteralControl(((char)13).ToString()));
Do you know if there's a way to do what I'm trying to do?

What does it matter what the "view source" view looks like? How it is rendered is what is important.

Well first of all i have to agree with Mark Nischalke, really how the HTML is formatted is irrelevant it only matters how the browser is rendering it.
Having said that, I noticed in your code sample that you are creating the controls but not actually adding it to a place holder (which is how you should be dynamically adding controls to a web form) so maybe try adding your controls to a place holder and the HTML should render based on the order they were added to the place holder.
If at first you don't succeed ... post it on The Code Project and Pray.

If you are working on MS technologies, stick to MS standards. They have something called Code Analysis post VS 2005 (not sure if it existed with VS 2005 too). Check that out.

I ran it with Firefox and Chrome and yield the same results. In IE, I prompts me to run an addon and after running the addon, the image showed properly. Thanks

Hi guys,
I have three different queries and i would like to put them as one huge query.
This will reduce the number of times i make a connection to Sql Server and hence load
time on my page.
I have already managed to put two queries like:
SELECT COUNT(Cellsmart_ussd.dbo.ussd_log.[msisdn]) AS totentries,
(
SELECT COUNT(ussd_clean.dbo.ster_vouchers.sent) FROM ussd_clean.dbo.ster_vouchers
WHERE [sent] = '1' AND [sent_date] BETWEEN @start AND @end
) AS [totsent]
FROM [Cellsmart_ussd].[dbo].[ussd_log]
WHERE [request] = '*120*789#'
But i also want the query below to be part of the two subqueries above^:
SELECT COUNT([ussd_clean].[dbo].[unique_codes].[msisdn_pair]) AS tota FROM [ussd_clean].[dbo].[unique_codes]
WHERE [msisdn_pair] != '' AND [used] = '1'
Unfortunatly I can't use INNER JOINS because all these single queries refer to
different databases and tables.
Please help me

You can join all the three queries as following.

WHERE [request] = '*120*789#'
It is in the same manner as you joined the first two query.

I can't add much to the previous 2 posts but: what are you hoping to achieve essentially? It may be that you need this, it might be that you don't but please post the scenario that you're working with so that we can advise.

One of the most useful debugging features of .NET Framework is Trace type (or class in C++). Functionally Trace is very similar to Debug type (and they share most of internal implementation), but unlike its Debug sibling that is supposed to be used only during debugging sessions, Trace functions can be compiled into a program and shipped to customers, so in case your users encounter a problem, they can activate trace by simply editing application configuration file.
Trace is easy to use and fully documented in .NET Framework documentation, so I will only briefly go through the basic trace features.

Good Day All
i have a machine that i use as a server, the machine is running Windows 7 and IIS 7. I am using Windows Xp and my browswe is IE8.
In my application i use Infragistics menu controls. The menu freezes, and they dont respond or calloapse. I have tried the Compatibility mode but it still does that.

Good Day All
I have found the Problem was not on Infragistics. I think someone who does the same as i do will have this problem. To Resolve the Problem i went to the IIS Manager -->Collapse the the tree and select the Application Pools-->In the Managed Pipeline Mode, it was Integrated, i changed it to Classic and it worked.
