The issue is related to SharePoint 2013. The size of 'WSS_Content' content database is 111 GB and consists of migrated SharePoint 2010 site collections via Sharegate. Now, i want to delete all the site collections without deleting the database. How do i do that?
Hi, When I'm trying to access Sharepoint admin it's sending me message. I'm unauthorized.
My admin also don't know how to give me access. Do you have any specific steps to share point to follow in admin panel for upgrading my account? Thanks
1. Migration would be better thru backup and restore and powershell migration routines. I get though if you are trying to jump from 2013 to 2019 and don't have a good 2016 instance to have in between. ShareGate is primarily a copy and merge tool as well as Security for SharePoint.
2. Yes you could do this if you only have certain sites you want to move around. It won't be extremely fast but it will work.
All in all. ShareGate is a fantastic tool. I like it alot. But it isn't always fast.

is there a way to have that SharePoint List (Modified in InfoPath) field populate with the current user if someone else is later editing the item?
Note: Setting default value "username()" function only populates in Newform not in Edit form. any workaround?
I have a standard search resultSearchWebPart.
I want to delete in my search duplicates on file names.
For that we must redo the query with the KeywordQuery.
I managed to get a result in a ResultTable variable without my duplicate files.
This code I put in the Render function, but then we need to develop the display in my webpart (writer).
My problem is that I can not replace the result of the current query in the standard view of my webpart (with the display template).
Do you have an idea how to replace the standard search query of my webpart by keeping the standard view. My goal is to remove duplicates on filenames.
ie: I do not want to redesign the my webpart to make it a fully customized webpart.
Internet Explorer 11 or later, which must be installed but doesn't have to be the default browser. To support Office Add-ins, the Office client that acts as host uses browser components that are part of Internet Explorer 11 or later.

Hi, we have a standard SharePoint 2007 Intranet. I would like some users to be able to edit a document however they cannot see the Site Actions -> View All Site Content. I'd rather they don't have access to edit pages, what is the best way of providing this?
I've given them access on the file itself however when they open the document and edit and save it, a message appears saying the file is read-only. Can anybody please advise/help? Thanks
according to my knowledge
To allow user account to edit document without having permission, We can Stop Inheriting and add a group and give a Contribute level Permission to a group
Hope my answer would help you
site columns > create the column, once this is complete either go to
content type publishing hub or site content types in site settings and edit the content type there adding the column you have created
Once you done with Installation of SP2013 Server
Open SP Management shell using the farm service command
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures
now it will upgrade in 6 different steps in COmmand shell
Go to central Administration there you can see manage servers in Farm according to that you can apply patches in SP Server
