This has to be one of the worst articles I have ever read. Granted you stated that this is your opinion, but to back up your opinion with other peoples opinion as "evidence" (with NO scientific support) makes this piece completely worthless. I have been a developer for over 15 years and it sickens me how many Developers with XX years of experience are so eager to trash new Developers while forgetting they were one new as well. Those who are riding this "band wagon" truly need to get over yourselves and stop thinking that your some kind of elitist and , here's a novel thought, instead of degrading them and generally being an elitist a**hole, HELP THEM BECOME BETTER DEVELOPERS.

I have just had a quick skim through the article, and I do not think this person's comments are valid. He is taking single words out of context to justify his abusive comments. The author does not call all developers stupid, he merely tries to give examples of the different classes that members of a team can fall into. And having worked with a number of 'programmers' who really had no clue, I do not think the word stupid is too strong in some cases.

I have to agree with Richard on this one: while I don't personally think it's a good article, it doesn't deserve that kind of comment. I would suspect the commenter "saw himself" rather too clearly in the article and took exception.
Personally, I'd rather he was kicked off and reinstated by special pleading to the hamsters so he understands what "decorum in the forum" means.
