Doesn't everyone?
No - but Google does. And when a translation is full of " ", " ing", and " er" it's a pretty good sign he isn't being friendly ...

His new message smells like a setup for the same.

If nothing else he's appropriated a photo of Miguel Fernando Perez Silva - a Brazilian Secretary of Culture who stepped down earlier this year

You win Trivia Prize of the Month! I wondered who was in the photo, because it certainly didn't look like someone who'd be asking how a perimeter differed from an area.
I've already flagged the account and its posts as spam.

I started learning Portuguese at the beginning of lockdown. All the resources tend to be for Brazilian Portuguese rather than European Portuguese, including the news feeds. Saw the pic and thought it looked familiar - also didn't think I'd bumped into him professionally
This happened once before when a spammer had used a photo of some professor in a US university - who had happened to be a friend of a friend and appeared in a Facebook post with said friend. "He looks familiar" - had to reverse image search that one though

Ma.ge.nto and De.mandw.are eCommerce Platforms Comparison [^] by i.9.5.D.ev - Alexpaul - Professional Profile[^]
@Sean-Ewington @Chris-Maunder
I have had a little check, the guy is spreading many other places / tech forums with this. Looks like he works for the Marketing Department (or the respective spammer is using the same name all over the internet)
I don't know if they are Sponsors here, if they are please wipe possible reports.
If they are not, maybe they deserve a communication about that their marketing department is doing non-requested illegal publicity?
I am getting offline for a while, if they are not sponsors, can someone edit it and un-strike the links? Thanks
Since nothing was said, I suppose the report was correct.

That raises a good point actually - @Chris-Maunder
Is there a place where an up-to-date list of all Codeproject Sponsors could be viewed? If there isn't, then I'm sure they would appreciate it (free advert and all that) and we could check "dodgy" ones to see if they are sponsors?
Perhaps a "Sponsors" page link under the "community" menu?

We used to have this a loooooooong time ago. The issue is that keeping this list up to date would be painful. Not just keep up with the ever changing list, but questions like: Do we include sponsors we allow in via Google's AdExchange, and how do we keep track of links and destinations given that many of the links can change during a campaign, some companies have campaigns from specific teams (so "Intel" is not a great link because Intel oneAPI, or Intel IoT, or Intel DevZone is actually the sponsor), and some sponsors are restricted to specific regions.

And a badge on friend accounts? At the end, the ones at risk are the accounts posting where we can't differentiate if it's a spammer or an allowed sponsor.
BTW... the original question is still not answered. Is my report legitime? Or should I remove it?

How many sponsors do you have?
We're only talking about those who can legitimately post what looks like spam - and preventing reports on them has got to be good for PR, I'd have thought.
And it doesn't have to be anything pretty - a DB based table of usernames with "expiry dates" that - say - Protectors can access would do it. And there has to be something that exists you can get the data from, or how would you know who to send invoices to?

I have already asked for a "friendly" badge on accounts from sponsors or allowed publishers. But I didn't get far with it.
