I don't like 'em; shaving myself, like a cheap sheep.
So, you turning down the millions we could make? Who would you want as a test subject? And would you want it to succeed, or fail? :p

I'm one of the most arrogant people you will ever talk to. And I deserve my arrogance, it is confirmed daily. Stop being sorry, makes you look silly.

By people paying more and more for it, even if I'm classified as "not fit for work".

Image of last year; I hate birthdays. Not my achievement to survive a few years, it's my mothers achievement that should be celebrated. So when asked, I joked that I wanted a mermaid-birthday.
Be careful what you wish for. So, as a test, uploading a mermaid-me for your enjoyment during these times.

Just waiting for the elastic (well neoprene) to arrive for the mounting bands and they will be in service tomorrow.
The fawn / brown material on the headband and under them is pig-skin suede (tougher and longer lasting than traditional lamb-skin) as it should be comfortable and "slide resistant".
Next time, I'd use 0.5mm clear PETG as this is a bit too resistant to bending (the original bottom edging broke under the strain. Oh, and I'd have more than 1.5g or rubberised super glue in the house as well ... sticking the suede down used a lot of glue!
Once this is over, I'll use Herself's screen instead of safety glasses - it shoudln't get so hot, sweaty, and steamed up.

I just built my fourth one - using 0.5 screen this time - and did a cost analysis: £6.39 each, which is pretty reasonable. I'm pretty sure the health service isn't getting them that cheap, and there are serious economies of scale you can use with these things:

The "Comfort band" is free because I have half a hide left from a previous job and haven't touched it for five years or more. No idea what it's worth, I bought it with a job lot of leather when I wanted to reupholster my office chair.
