Five Perceptual Computing Cameras to Give Away
Intel are doing a follow up challenge to their Ultimate Coder 2 centered around
perceptual computing. The goal is to tempt developers to use the perceptual computing
to develop gesture and voice based UIs and we've talked them into giving away 5
cameras.
Read my Blog post for a rundown of what you can expect from the camera, then
email contest@codeproject.com with
your reason why you need one. The first 5 who convince me they need one and convince
me there will be an article posted about Perceptual Computing will get the goods.
For those who want a shot at $800,000 in prizes
head over to Intel and get
your entries in.
Azure Challenge: Spot Challenge Today!
Our
spot challenge for this stage of the Azure challenge is on and it's silly easy.
Up to $750 and a Surface RT can be won this week. Or just dive straight into the
main challenge itself!.
HTML4. We're Done.
Finally, a plea to the web developers out there: Code responsibly and target
HTML5. Please, for the love of all things well-formed ditch the IE hacks and let's
work towards an IE9 (and below) free world. It's time. I've done a
write-up of a free tool that Microsoft themselves have released as a community
service. Check your markup, clean out the hacks, make sure it works and don't look
back.
cheers,
Chris Maunder
