Also did I not mention this is apache htaccess? That's not how you write a 301 redirect in htaccess (you're suggesting a 301 redirect)

Thanks for the quick answer. However, as I said, there are thousands of files, I can't do this for each file individually, it would take FOREVER and result in a MASSIVE htaccess file that slows down my site.
