Are you getting correct value in Student_Course SC parameter in AddCourse method?
Dominic Abraham 13-Mar-17 7:38am View

I don't think this will distorts any values. GC.GetTotalMemory(true) , it will wait for short interval as system collects garbage.

Hi,

The life of the particular session is till user logged out of the system. You can use some other storage mechanisms. For ex: cookies, database, file system etc.

Can you confirm this ?

1. You have 100 rows in a gridview ?
2. Each row represents a query ?
3. Each query executes in different sql server ?
I.e

Row1 --> select * from booktable --> sql server 1
Row2 --> select * from booktable --> sql server 2
Row3 --> select * from booktable --> sql server 3

etc .

Hi
As i said you earlier, you don't need the backgroundworker to just blink the label. you can do that timer_tick event itself.
You are using timer control [System.Windows.Forms.Timer], which is running in main application thread itself. There are some other timers which are running in another thread. You just read that in web.

Hi Here you are trying to access a control in one thread from a different thread. That is timer is part of your main thread and backgroundworker is part of the other thread. So there is a cross thread communication happening. If you are trying to change the visibility property of TransferStatusLabel1 from your backgroundWorker1_DoWork event, you will get a "Cross-thread operation not valid error". So to access a control from different thread, we are using Invoke(). As an argument we should specify the delegate. MethodeInvoker is a delegate which allows us to call a function which has no arguments. So we are specifying this.invoke((MethodInvoker)delegate()). There are good articles giving detailed information about this.

Can you try directly removing the value from database after giving a value for i. I.E . Execute the query
Delete from calender where ID = '1' in database. Just to make sure that, there is no issues with your query/data. And if you are able to delete the data, just try the same query from code [after inserting the deleted data]

ie.

SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("Delete from calender where ID= '1'", con);
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
con.Close();
