Apparently, you are right.
I have just started reading about programmatically work on Reports and I came across this question, I noticed the method of setting the Rpt Value, so I was not clear about my solution.
I will omit it though, as it really doesn't add something new.

Thank you for your solution.I just updated it to suit my scenario [I use DataTable, MS Access 2016] ->
Dim dt As DataTable = New DataTable()
Sub Form1_Load()
        Dim DataAdapter1 As New OleDbDataAdapter("SELECT * FROM TABLE_NAME", CN)
        DataAdapter1.Fill(dt)
        DataAdapter1.Dispose()
        CN.Close()
        cryRpt.Load(Application.StartupPath & "\CrystalReport1.rpt")
        AssignConnection(cryRpt)
        cryRpt.SetDataSource(dt)
        CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = cryRpt
End Sub

I know it's been long since this. But how did you solve the Capitalization issue.
I'm having the same problem with the same error from the above Q.

Do you mean, it did not work in Stretch Mode, only? or it did not work at all ?

In Visual Studio we use Resources.
Try this :
Me.Icon = New Icon(Me.GetType(), "YOUR_Icon_Path_File.ico")

How did you EMBED explorer ICON ?

Add the lines in the solution above to your app.config file. But what is your .net version because the above solution works only for .net4.

For Each CrTable In CrTables
Line above generate error, it would be more suitable if changed to

I know this solution, I've read it before on 2 different websites and it worked for me ... But using shared folder to connect to a database will not be the best solution with Multi-users connect at the same time. Since there is an offline mode in ado.net [DataSet], it made it more efficient to work with multi-users. I'm using this solution along with Ado.Net in my work, and is working like a charm.
Here is the source I've read this at [http://vb6access2003.blogspot.com/2010/07/vb-60-ms-access-2003-ms-access-2003.html]
