In my code I have one string variable. That string value passing from method parameter, I have used inside that method. But it looks different for Text visualizer value and string value.

I need only that text visualizer value to use inside my code.
Please help me how to get that value?

What I have tried:

I used

str.Substring(0, str.IndexOf("\0"));

to use trim all after \0. But if user enter string contains \0 then it cause issue.

Then I get what I expect: The console shows me

IND\Test TEST

And the debugger shows me that value contains

"IND\\Test\0TEST\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\...

The VS text visualiser shows me just

IND\Test

which probably means it's written in C++ and a string stops at a NULL character. That's a bug, really - feel free to report it to MS, but they'll only ignore it ...

How do you expect a user to enter a string containing a null: the only way to do that is via an alt key sequence ALT000 or (on some keyboards) CTRL+@ - but most input controls including text boxes ignore it.
