The future of Visual C++ development in a .NET world

Spring is here and the open road beckons, so we've decided to make good on one of our original long-term goals. We're taking Code Project on the road. In June and July we are visiting 8 North American cities with a one-day symposium featuring all the breaking news on how .NET is going to affect you as a C++ developer. 11 May 2001 - Erik Thompson signs up to speak at San Jose and LA. Erik Thompson has confirmed that he will be available to speak at the San Jose and LA events. Erik is a part time editor for CodeProject and has written material for MSDN sessions, and worked on the Comdex99 keynote presentation. Erik has many years experience in all facets of Visual C++, n-tier and web development. 9 May 2001 - Tour FAQ posted The tour coordinator, John McIlroy, has posted a few of the most commonly asked questions to help give you an idea of what our goal is with the Tour. Read the entire FAQ here. 8 May 2001 - Microsoft's C++ Product Manager joins the Code Project Tour Microsoft's C++/C# Product Manager, our own Nick Hodapp has eagerly agreed to join us on tour as a speaker/panelist. We're excited to have Nick on board and look forward to hearing him speak on all issues relating to Visual C++ in a .NET world. This is a chance for attendees to ask the Microsoft C++ Product Manager all those niggling little (and big) questions. 5 May 2001 - Tour Coordinator Named We have arranged for John McIlroy from Sitko Software to be the coordinator of the Tour. John comes from a project management background, and is ideally suited to help us organize the Tour in a smooth and professional manner.
