Y2K alert! again...

Here we go again...

The Y2K bug is out to get us again! Tuesday is the first leap year on the century for 400 years, and while some analysts are predicting doom and gloom, the rest of us are probably just a little bored of the whole thing. Being in Australia I'll be one of the first to see civilisation as we know it come crashing down around my ears, so I'll be sure to post a blow-by-blow description :) In all seriousness though, there is a major international effort to keep tabs on the problem, with numerous countries getting together via conference calls every 8 hrs over 3 days with national Y2K coordinators on the steering committee of the World Bank-funded International Y2K Cooperation Center. With most Y2K testing last year also concentrating on the leap year problem, there are not expected to be any major hassles on February 29. For more info on the leap year check out our leap year article at CodeProject.com.
