Suggest a mini project for academics.

Hi everyone please suggest a topic for a mini project for my academics.
I am pursuing engineering and hence need to build a project(mini) this semester.

Please suggest some projects which can be build in C or C++ or Core-Java as I have only studied these languages till now.

Also post introduction of those suggested topics.

Well, do you have a hobby? Anything not related to programming but where a program or a Web resource could help. Music, arts, crafts? Sports, books, video, collections, playing with children or teaching them? Are you learning yourself — drawing, painting, playing a musical instrument?

Are you frustrated with some software tools you use in your work and would like some tools to improve your performance and make your work less boring and mechanical and more creative?

Think about it. The best software is usually the one done for our own needs or for helping our friends or relatives. Use a chance given by your school to create something you would really enjoy.

Thank you I have not hobby but interest in computer security but I don't think that I can make a program for steganography or any data encryption techniques.

You can always create something more moderate, but what you need is some inventiveness.
All the widely used encryption techniques are included in standard .NET library, by the way. But you can use it in application. Again, think about what could you create for your own use.
