Thanks John.. My probelm is display problem.

Ex:
ChildID Description ParentID
A Desc1 NULL
B Desc2 A
C Desc3 A
D Desc4 A

It shows

A
B --| Hidden under Parent A
C |
D ---
B Again Child Element is shown.
C
D

And I want the display as:

A
B --| Hidden under Parent A
C |
D ---

Please help me with this.

Hi all,

I'm trying to authenticate the currently logged on user with a username / password login page.
I have done this so far:

protected void Login1_Authenticate(object sender, AuthenticateEventArgs e)
{
    Session["sHRUID"] = "";
    if (Session["sHRUID"].ToString() == "")
    {
        string loggedOn = Request.ServerVariables["LOGON_USER"];
        loggedOn = loggedOn.ToUpper();
        Session["sHRUID"] = loggedOn.Replace("DOMAIN\\","");
    }
    if (Login1.UserName == loggedOn && Login1.Password == "admin")
        e.Authenticated = true;
}

But how can I authenticate the password?
Can anyone please help???

You can't get the user's windows password. If you have your site set up to not use anonymous access, the fact that they are able to get to your page indicates that they have been authenticated against AD.

I don't know whether I should start a new thread but, is it possible to use frames within asp.net, if so which component can I use or must it be done pro grammatically?

You can use frames in just the same way as any other html page.

Framework base class

what type of node? client side / server side? What have you tried?

If you only want to compare the selected node, then get teh name of that node and compare it to the new node.

If you want to see if the name of the new node exists anywhere in teh tree, then you will have to traverse the tree, checking each node for that name.

Post a code sample to give us more of a clue of what you're trying to do.

Create a form named Calender.aspx which has the following controls:

<asp:Calendar ID="calDate" Runat="server" CellPadding="0" />
<input type="hidden" id="control" runat="server" NAME="control">

Calender.aspx.cs do this:

private void calDate_SelectionChanged(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
control.Value = calDate.SelectedDate.ToShortDateString();
Response.Write("<script language='javascript'>window.returnValue='" + calDate.SelectedDate.ToString("dd/MM/yyyy") + "';window.close();</script>");
}

Finally on button on which u have to open Calender.aspx do this:

function PickFromDate()
{
var winSettings = "dialogWidth:300px;dialogHeight:250px; help: no; status: no";
var values = window.showModalDialog('Calender.aspx','cal',winSettings);

document.all("txtFromDate").value = values;
}
}
