A quick one. How can I get the time of day (PM or AM) from current date.

A datetime includes the time. There is no .NET object tha contains only the date
and if you had only the date, you couldn't work out the time, unless you had the timezone.

To put it simply, I need to be able to do something like
mystrtime = Now.Day.ToString & Now.Month.ToString & Now.Year.ToString & Now.Hour.ToString & Now.Minute.ToString & ????PM Or AM????

By default, the hour > 12 for PM

You would be much better off using DateTime.ToString(format), check out the API docs for DateTime and System.Globalization.DateTimeFormatInfo
For your solution:
Now.ToString("dd/MM/yy hh:mm tt");

There is no way to do this, you'd have to build a table of commonly mis spelled words and alternatives.

You may need to use a Spellchecker component and list the Top suggestions.

There seems to be some memory leak. Have a profiler like DevPartner Community Profiler and try to address this.

You can't. You need to write code that takes the date from the control, and then passes it to the database. There is no connection between the database and the calendar control directly.
