Hi all.
I have developed a mobile web page in ASP.NET and it runs fine when running it on its own in VS.NET. I need to run it from a mobile device emulator to see how it looks,etc. I have tried this in the browser of the emulator :"http://localhost:2175/DemoGhostDigest/MobileArticle.aspx" but it says I am not connected. I specify the proxy name and port numbers, yet it still says no connection.
Am I missing something? Please assist.

Hi,
I guess you useing VS 2005.
You need to change the settings of the Ms ActiveSync.
Ms ActiveSync ->File -> Connection string
Use DMA instad of USB.
Try this,

yes i am using 2005.
I am using Pocket PC 2003 2nd edition. I go to active sync menu->Tools->connect via DMA.
This is not working.
When i go to options and try 2 choose PC to sync to, the list is empty.

When running in Visual Studio, you may well be using the standalone web server.
ActiveSync only proxies standard ports. You need to be running on port 80, and you probably therefore need to get your website running in IIS.

Which .NET compact framework ( VS.NET ) version you are using?
If .NET CF 1.1 need to use Phone API. if you using .NET CF 2 with Windows mobile 5 use Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Telephony.Phone for sending SMS.

Hi,
I have made one application in that I need my own cell number.
I got IMSI number but not my cell number.
How can I get my cell number.
I m using win 5.0 device.
My application is developed in eVC++ 4.0.

We found that it wasn't reliable - the SIM actually needed to have it programmed in, which many don't. I believe that when we got to the actual deployment, we ordered a very large batch of SIMs and requested that the corresponding phone number was programmed into the appropriate own-number location.
If the SIM does have it, call SimReadPhonebookEntry passing the SIM_PBSTORAGE_OWNNUMBERS location. At least, that's what we're doing.
It also might be possible to get it from lineGetAddressCaps, but I'm not sure about that.

I am not experienced at Windows CE.I want to learn how to display a picture in Jpeg format in Windows CE.At least which methods should I use in that process?Because OleLoadPicture or IPicture methods are not supported by Windows CE.

Hello.
I am writing for smartphone in vb.net using vs2003, compact framework 1.1, targeting windows mobile 2003 os.
I cannot get the app to respond to my own written events, regardless of where I place focus on load. Immediate task is to place checkboxes in a panel and use the number keys to check or uncheck. The checkboxes correspond to numbers on the pad. The up/down arrow keys would move focus to another panel of checkboxes and perform the same task.
Here is an example of the sub I'm trying to configure correctly:

We are using visual .net 2005 platform for develpoing our application in pocket pc 2003 (ce.net).
our problem is that when the application loads /moves from one form to another then it shows flickring effect(one to two seconds desktop of pocket pc is seen during navigation ).so how to remove or resolve it?????
so flickring is not there and their is fast flow from one form to another.

Is there any bluetooth hardware that has a keyboard and can control the computer remotely? And how can I program on the computer's side to get and interpret the signals from the bluetooth hardware as I need?
It's better if the computer can receive the original ditial voice data stream from the bluetooth hardware.

Hi, everyone!
Now I'm developing an application on PDA. The platform is Windows Pocket 2003. I want to use timer to inspect the communication. But I find the timmer0 isn't work after I call the SetTimer(0,1000,NULL). I don't know the reason. Could someone be kind to tell me? Thanks!
