If you want to be considered by the big names, you better complete a masters degree. If you've decided to do it anyways, why not spend another year and do the course properly? That way, it will have more value.
A certification like CISSP (or something else like that, with market demand) might add value to your resume. Good luck to you.
After completed BCA, I have applied for MCA but couldn't continue due to few reasons* & now expired. So this time I prefer shortest duration & that's why I choose 1 year MBA. Besides I'm not going to stay on IT for longtime. Surely I'm gonna switch over to some other field. More details later.
*couldn't get leaves for exams & studies on past orgs. Wasted some money on that around 15-20K
if you ask me. it's of no use. i have my BCA and started job. after first two companies no one even asked about my degree. and pay wise also it's in top 25% bracket. How ever if you want to do MBA do a executive MBA from really good institute.
The most difficult part of education in india is to find a one year degree that is not too expensive. For this reason I had to leave my job and travel abroad to complete my Masters. I suggest you compromise on your duration to atleast 1.5/2 years in order to gain MBA with cheaper cost in india because normally MBA through DL is for 3 years.
