Hello,
I want to post my first article in code project I have stuck when I want to submit it then I have got message like.
The content is either too short or default. - Content contains the phrase 'the code? Did you do anything particularly clever or wild or zany'.

The message is telling you that either you have not written enough for the content to be classed as an article, or you have left some of the template statements in the article template. Please check again what you have tried to submit.
|

|
|
Articles in CodeProject should be a bit lengthy may be greater than 1000 words. If your submission is less than that, instead of article submit it to Tips/Tricks section'.

Why are you telling Richard this? He already knows this and the person who posted the question won't be notified there was an answer because you replied to someone else.

This guy is often having problems with the formats in his blog entries. @Sean-Ewington has already corrected a bunch of them.
I don't know if it is a problem with the blog feeder or he just doesn't learn.

As a side note... was this approved by people, or did it get through because the guy has platinum in "author"?

It's a known issue. Might be awhile before it gets addressed ...
I suspect it was approved. Some moderators may be correctly thinking, "Good old Sean and Deeksha, they'll fix it."
And it looks like Deeksha did.

This blog entry auto updated to code project. it is inconvenient for me to update it only on code project as your bot will update it later.
Code project crawl content on my blog and I update reference links manual is not nice. It should do automatically.

I am not supporting any author, but just want to understand why is it illegal to put the link of authors own blog post? (I don't know where the back link points to.)
I see many members does it in their signature, profile or posts too.
If you have valid and convincing reasons, I would also be careful before posting to codeproject in future.

Hi!
I uploaded a zip file with source code and inserted a link to it. But the file cannot be found from the reviewed and published article. Also, nothing visible under the "Browse code" link. I have now deleted and uploaded the same zip file and hope it will work this time around, but I'm not so sure. What might I be doing wrong?
This is the article in question:

Actually, now the file shows up under "Browse code" but it is still not possible to actually access the file.

I used the button (insert link into article) to the left of the uploaded file.

It seems as if it might have been a 7-zip problem. I uploaded it as a zip instead of as a 7z and it seemed to work better now.

Yes, according to the FAQ the files should be provided in ZIP format.

I had a previously working article and now all the pictures are gone. I have not edited the article in a while and they used to work, so it is not because of one of my edits or anything I did...
What gives???

Make sure you reference images using src="image.ext" not src="http://www.codeproject.com/KB/Articles/id/image.ext". Files may move, and our system handles the paths internally.
