i am making a client server application in which client will call system calls and send the information to server.
I want to store that information into database e.g Access using ADO.
Plz guide me what should i do?
Do i have to do serialization of data?
e.g From client i have to send the the computer name and user name to server. how will i do this ?
how will i serialize data?
how will i use ADO? I am newbie plz be aptient with me and also tell me examples as well

Is there a way to use cout<< or something like it without including iostream. I have a simple app with one cout statement and no inputs. The file is 5k without iostream included, but 260k with it.

But the two requirements were "...to use cout<< or something like it without including iostream." Using printf() and including stdio.h satisfy both of those requirements.

Try this, if you are using Win API only:

return iRet;

Usage is identical to wsprintf, but it writes to console output.

Hi,
I've noticed that GetOpenFileName with multi-select enabled returns the list of files with the last one you click at the front of the array. You can even see this in the dialog itself. This is fine if you select multiple files backwards!
E.g. Selecting file "01" and shift-selecting file "05" returns the following:
{"05", "01", "02", "03", "04"}
Is this a feature, a bug, or something I've setup wrong?

hi
i appreciated the replys from all .for the message posted on Unregistered dll.
My problem is not that i have a folder which cotains components and now i have to select one by one component and unregister it programmatically.
i have string c"\Program Files\Demo\xyz.dll" this i passed to system() and shell execute it does'nt work at all it is because of the space in "Program Files" but if the path does not have space in folder names it works fine.

but anyway, i give you this tip (big book actually ) because i started learning C++ with it, and i found it so useful that i take sometimes "my bible" to find a tip, or to refresh my mind on some points...
