Yes, but OnOK is still called when you press it. If you deleted the Cancel button, Escape will still call OnCancel. To defeat this behaviour, override the methods before deleting the buttons and comment out the calls to the base class. If you wanted the OK button to work but not the return key you can do this:

GetAsyncKeyState(VK_RETURN); // Clear buffer
if (GetAsyncKeyState(VK_RETURN)) return; // Don't execute if we got here via the return key

For this project, put a new IDOK button on, then override the method, and delete it again.

I have created a onctlcolor function that changes the color of my labels,edit boxes,listboxes and hopfully a combobox.

there does not seem to be a settextcolor function available with the combobox. Is there another way to change the color of a combobox?

Does anybody know a way to resize a CFormView derieved class, so that it exactly encloses the dialog resource and no scrollbar are visible?

I tried it on CWnd::SetWindowPos(), but this does only change the size of the View and didn't affect the frame.

I think you should control the size of parent frame to avoid scrollbars. Use WM_GETMINMAXINFO for that.

I use it under W2000 every day with no problems, so the problem is with your setup somewhere. I use SP5.

I've got the same problem, annoying at times, but not so much that I'm driven to find the problem. If anyone else finds an answer that would be great.

Yes.

You will get two threads running, each with "Function" as its main.

Maybe works, maybe not.
I would advise you to move Function() into a class (CWinThread derived) and make instances of the class for every thread. There is a second overload for AfxBeginThread, not taking a function pointer as first param, but a CWinThread-object.

I made a program to input .txt into MS Access.The text file is an output of a math program.Fine.
Now another program retrieves the data and displays it in the list control.Not fine.

The problem is the numbers displayed in the list contains an additional point other than the one already present.
When I checked in the database,it was correct ie same as that in the text file but the point gets added in the list control.Why?Whats the point?
The database fields are strings.
This problem occurs only to certain numbers in random.
I am confused.I need to use this in further calculations but it will harm my other calculations.
Help me.
