This posting[^] (closed) screams "hacking" to me. The poster requests the community to help him essentially break into a website so he can steal content.
Thoughts?
You can lead a developer to CodeProject, but you can't make them think.

To me it sounds like he just wants to automate the task of rightclick + save image as, while that application should authenticate to the website (deviantart) as himself so that mature content is enabled. Since he could do the same thing manually, that wouldn't be stealing / hacking.

Agree.
This person asks for technical advice on downloading images, at most, on Web scraping. There is nothing wrong with that techniques. Every software developer should be competent enough in such things and has every right to know it all. After all, viewing everything on the Web essentially means that all the content is already downloaded to the client computer.
Something wrong may happen (or not) only as the result of the use of all that.

Or maybe the original help vampire.
The same user reported here[^] profile here [^] and alternate account profile[^] is back yet again. Except it has been far too long for him to be a help vampire. He is simply asking question after question to get people to do his work for him. 4th account[^] that I know of, is currently at 112 "questions", never responds to clarification questions, never accepts answers. Same dog, no new tricks and can't seem to learn from the past.
What say you?

Here is the question list if the account goes first.[^]

Most of them need 1 more kick.
About the last 8 need a couple more.
