I am using Visual Studio 2013 Express Edition.And I am facing some problem while building a Library bcoz that library is using afx.h,afxwin.h (MFC code).
Is there any way to skip that MFC code from being build?
Like any macro which enable me to know whether VC++ is Express or Standard Edition?

I am working on making a 2-way connection between Flash Pro (AS3) and ASP.NET. The ASP.NET then connects to a MS Access database. I am pretty new to AS3 and ASP.NET. After searching online (thanks to some helpful souls), I have come with an AS3 code and an ASP.NET code in C#. Three variables in - PID (number), FirstName and LastName are to be sent from AS3 to ASP.NET. My ASP.NET C# code seems to be working, I sent the same variables through another webpage and it seems to receive the variables just fine. I used Fiddler2 to check the connections. The AS3 code also seems to work and it sends the right info across (by seeing it on Fiddler2), but the ASP.NET code does not seem to recognize it. I think the error may have something to do with the difference in variable type between AS3 and ASP.NET, but I'm not sure how to fix it or if it because of some other issue. Below is my AS3 and ASP.NET code, they are pretty simple.
I would really appreciate any kind of feedback/support. Thank you!
Hello, I am looking for someone who can help Me load a database on my godaddy website for a small fee. All files are set to go. I am just not computer literate. If interested to help, pls respond to post.
I'm afraid you have the wrong site, this site is set up to help developers. Having said that I'm pretty sure there will be some here more than willing to accept your fee.
It is also a very bad idea to post your email, it is not required as the posting has an email link that goes through CP without exposing your email to all and sundry (spammers). I suggest you edit your post to remove the email address and rely on the email link.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity
who can help Me load a database on my godaddy website
Which one? Always mention those details clearly. Here articles related to three databases supported by godaddy. MS SQL[^], MS Access[^] & MySql[^]. Believe me it's really simple task if you pick the articles & follow those clearly.
You just walked into a room where nobody knows you and made the statement "Display Options Show picture box style mode is circular." and then you left the room.
Makes you look kind of crazy, doesn't it?
First, there's no context information at all, so we have no idea what you're talking about. We have no idea what the problem is, what it is you're trying to do, what kind of application this is, what you're tried to do to solve the problem ... YOU'VE GIVEN US NOTHING AT ALL TO WORK WITH!
Very strange. Do you happen to call a RibbonComboBox1.DropDownItems.Clear() somewhere after adding the items? Have you tried some System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(FontItem) statements to see if the iteration works properly?
By the way, I'd prefer a foreach loop, in C# it looks like
foreach(FontFamily f in FontFamily.Families)
string name = f.Name;
System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(name); //take a look at the output window to see if all names get listed
RibbonLabel rl = new RibbonLabel();
rl.Text = name;

I am planning to upgrade our visual studio editions from 2010 to 2013 professional (without MSDN). Our current 2010 solution still works with visual source safe 2005 (!!!), it works beautifully, but I find it too old to continue with it.
What is the best practice, free or low cost solution for source control of a development team these days?
- About 12 programmers
- Visual studio 2013 only.
Previously I was put off by team foundation because of cost, and complicity. I only have to keep versions, and make sure that two people wouldn't work on the same file at the same time.
Hope someone can shorten my learning process by sharing his/her own experience.
