In results published in Nature, scientists have shown that they can now produce more energy than the fuel put into an experiment. The use of fusion as a source of energy remains a long way off, but the latest development is an important step toward that goal. I could have sworn I heard about this already. The "flexible" syntax makes it optimal for large-team-projects. And...
[...] it's common to prefix the enum values with a two-letter abbreviation. The case part in the object declaration introduces a checked union. So the access of f.name will raise an exception if f.kind != fkVar.
Run-time type checking of enums (forget C++11 strongly typed enums) makes it ideal as a "systems programming language". It should be a piece of cake to rewrite Linux in it.
