As to cutting edge, I don't know. Erlang, Scala, Haskell, and OCaml have been around for a while.
Then you've got 2 Google languages.
And then you've got the sewer Javascript enhancement languages.

Yes, but "a while" is relative, most of computing still seems to think the 1970's are state-of-the-art (the compile-link cycle, is a hangover, from batch processing of compilation tasks), and UNIX was developed then, and most "modern" O/S still haven't progressed much further (at heart at least - GUI's may be a bit prettier).
So, by those terms, most of that list are "cutting edge".

Google's guiding principle in all that it does is "don't be evil", a slogan that has, inevitably, been mocked over the years, particularly as issues of user privacy have gradually gained more widespread attention in recent times. But, "OK, we admit it: we're totally evil." just doesn't work on bumper stickers as well

Page means that the slogan originally was created towards customers and not the company as most people think. He mean to put some effort (and money) to explain it, via advertising the wrong-doings of Google's customers...
