Of course!
What's impressive is that 83% of those projects were opened by people who just want to see for themselves how bad it is.

It depends if the other 90% were mostly Winforms (in which case someone in Redmond should be into his ), or if most of them were web/metro/wp8/c++/non-gui applications and most of the new .net desktop dev is in WPF.

Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

What does worry me is the 3 bugs they called out as being slated for fixing:
Quote: WPF Touch Event Fires with Delay
WPF Ribbon Window: The border is too thin
Using BitmapFrame.Create with any TIFF file allocates 300MB of RESERVED MEMORY if Microsoft Camera Codec Pack is installed
One is jaw droppingly, how the elephant did they let such a usability fail out in the first place, bad. One is a trivial nitpick item. The third is another jaw dropper performance fail.
Two problems that never should've been allowed to reach production; and one that probably took 10 seconds + bureaucratic overhead to fix. Where are all of the the non-trivial to fix major developer pain point bugs that any major software platform should have in significant quantity.

It appears that Philae has successfully landed!
[edit] I find it quite amusing how Cpt. Kirk is mentioned, and "The final frontier" and "where no one has gone before." It's really amazing how iconic Star Trek is.

Tell it to bring me back some lunch... I suddenly have a yearning for a Philae cheese steak...
Bad jokes aside though... Much awesomeness. Eleven years and four gravity assists to get there, and it actually worked... Mostly... I mean, the thruster and the harpoons are kinda borked, but otherwise...

I've already been there, screwed the comet and as I was leaving, Chuck Norris was just entering orbit around the comet.

A certain "direction of entry" comes to mind that I shall refrain from further comment.

tldr: I'm able to sleep better after installing software to control the blue light emissions from my laptop screen and phone (links to the software at the end of the post).
Apparently there's this thing about excessive blue light from the displays of our computers/tablet/phone that tricks your brain into believing that it's day time, which could mess with your body clock. As a result, you may not be able to sleep immediately after going to bed particularly if you had just shut down your laptop or finished responding to emails on your phone, etc.
There are these programs (and, "apps") that cut out much of the blue spectrum emitted by the display. Or something like that. That's not important; what's important is that this results in two things:
- The display is going to look somewhat reddish as most of the blue is cut out. It's quite odd at the beginning, but I got used to it pretty quickly. This reduces the strain on your eyes.
- Your brain is no longer confused by the light, and your body clock is not disturbed as a result. You are therefore able to sleep quickly after going to bed, and get good quality sleep through the night
I am able to get better quality of sleep after using these programs for about a week, so I thought I'd share this titbit with you all.
There are a number of such software or apps (depending on the platform), but I'm using f.lux[^] (windows) and twilight[^] (android).

Another thing to do, which is probably simpler, is change your "Window" colour value to a dull light green or grey (e.g. mine's set at RGB 196,227,214), because it's the white "paper" background that does most of the damage.
That way, you don't have to change anything if you're doing graphical work (and you can save it in a Windows "theme" that is really easy to copy from machine to machine).
