Great, now I know where I'm spending my day! I started out on PDP's, VAX, etc.

As did I. PDP-11 in high school. VAX-11 in college. Alpha through my early career. No OpenVMS work since 2002.
But Ebay has supplied me with a MicroVAX 3100, AlphaServer 800, AlphaServer DS10L, and an HP Integrity rx1620 (Itanium) -- all running OpenVMS 8, so I can relive the glory days.

I'm surprised that the FAQ doesn't have a section "Have you considered getting a life?"

That you even found that casts doubt on your interests Mark.

It was quoted in a newspaper article!

(I don't generally maintain a web site about it though, it's a more lonely activity than that ...)

I think it is a reference page for enthusiasts and model makers, not so weird. I have seen much, much weirder than that.

I do hope you wear a MedicAlert bracelet instructing paramedics to delete your browser history

I would guess it's mostly for model railroaders doing modern layouts.

This reminds me of the best bumper sticker I've ever seen. It was in a convention parking lot (think it was MidSouthCon) and said "I am Lysdexic of Borg. Prepare to be asslaminated."

Everyone should opt out. And probably quit.

That would be very smart. Reality will be that the tyical yes-men will not let the opportunity to crawl into someones 'assimilator'. Others will keep their mouth shut out of fear and play along. Most of those who wanted to opt out will be persuaded bribed with a small gift. Wanna have a new smartphone?
And those that actually are smart enough not to play along will only lose. But yes, I prefer to live without a job before I would let myself be tagged like a dog.

Well, dogs should opt out too.

In a perfect world, yeah. But humans gotta learn the hard way. Eventually, they'll come to understand this is tantamount to modern day slavery, but I digress.

Actually, someone should create a minicapacitor that charges off the body somehow, hack the supply chain to those 'rice' implants, and have those installed instead! Then, every 25 minutes, or however long it takes to charge up, the suckers can be 'reminded' that they were stupid enough to sign up for such a venture!
