Madness: Doing the same thing over and over and getting different (read weird) results.
VS2019, community edition. Office/Excel addin solution, about 4 or 5 years old.
Working fine on system A, have to fix a user error. "Don't let users make errors, they create unpredictable results". OK, so it's a bug, not a user error.
Create a fix, er um, hack.
Decide to copy the project to a newer system. Both on E: drive.
Get an error on build, "can't delete some file, access denied". Fix permissions, rebuild. Now: "can't delete same file, it is in use".
Move the solution from E:\ to C:\users\source\repos
"Can't open: the blah.csproj file it is in use". It isn't. Restart VS, wash, rinse repeat.
Delete the .csproj file and copy it back (from same E: source).
Solution builds and runs as designed, such as it is.
Copy solution back to the E: drive. Still builds and runs.
Color me confused. Do I get a piece of cheese? Or the dunce cap for moving the solution?
I just declared victory and released it.
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.

And now you know why letting Office anywhere near a LOB solution is a recipe for disaster - or at least a load of frustrating issues.

I couldn't figure this one out. That is 273 in a row.

That's hilarious. I must have misread it as "pile" instead of "piles" and thought of "scrapheap" based solely on the definition, and then dismissed it because it was only 9 letters.

Yeah, I also find the ones you have to read to be be the most difficult.

I think it is all right, if you take in account that no Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server installed at all...
The question is why try to remove a piece does not installed in the first place...

S. in his greatest role as Cheesefinger. Of course he`s going to try to kill James Bond.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

James Bond: Do you expect me to talk?
Cheesefinger: No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to cut it fine!

Vowels are good characters. Unfortunately, if you kill them off, your autobiography would become a tbgrphy; but killing off the consonants would be even worse, your autobiography would shorten down to auoioa.
Reminds me of the story of the person who was told that his password must be at least seven characters long, so he set it to DocBashfulGrumpySneezySleepyDopeyHappy

... that I don`t have a 3D printer with two printing heads. If you do and want to print something your wife is going to love then print this:
Quote: The design and drawing of this model took over 1200 hours and an estimated 2000 hours to print.
This model uses the following colors in PLA and the approximate weights of materials used:
True Red ........10 pounds
True Yellow....... 2 pounds
True White........ 8 pounds
True Black ........4 pounds
Warm Grey .......4 pounds
Cool Grey.........16 pounds
Army Green.......2 pounds
Ocean Blue .... only a couple of ounces.

Did I ever tell you about an entire launching crew wanting to lynch me for playing crew chief and having them haul more than 30 of them out of the shelters into launch position?
