If we'd put the same effort into car and roads safety, there would not be any car accidents.

And cars would cost $2M each, and you'd have to have a complete overhaul after every oil change.
People are the major cause of traffic accidents, not mechanical failures, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

The article doesn't mention China, or the Chinese. Why the gratuitous subject line?
Not to suggest that you're wrong, you're probably 100% right. I'm not coming to their defense. I just thought it came out of nowhere.

Right. I didn't need any convincing that any of that wasn't true.

Perhaps to answer your inquiry the fact of such theft is much on my mind. It troubles me that China and of course Russia are stealing from us. Every time I read an article such as this I am reminded of these facts. It seems this is a peculiarity of myself.

If you can take for granted corporate espionage is a thing (and I think we can agree it is), eventually it should stop bothering you, no?
Are the Chinese stealing your unique ideas?
|
|

I have little knowledge of corporate theft however we have a justice system re/ such matters. I do not believe the FBI or INTERPOL will arrest Chairman Xi anytime soon. Even so commonality of evil does not make evil acceptable. Further perhaps more to the point I have a hatred of communists as they are a scourge on this world. If Canada stole USA technology I would not be troubled. My original ideas are safe from Chinese theft as I keep them well secured unlike our government laboratories which troubles me greatly.

What do you call the white line on the outer edge of the road when there is no kerb? (leftpond: curb)
I know what I (and my firefighting colleagues) call it, but I'm interested in the wider world's usage.

That's what we call it, but I'm pretty sure I didn't know the term until about 20 years ago.
And I'd been a licensed driver for 40 odd years by then.

Huh? and huh?
I was referring to the line along the EDGE of the road, not a centre line.
I never mentioned snow.
