Or the hamsters are away and the lemming substitutes jump into the sea every few hours.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Nobody uses Lemmings as Hamster substitutes - the standard is to use Capybaras.

Castor canadensis, that's probably it!
The castors are big and like to work. They probably built a dam and flooded the server room.

They use fish?
This internet thing is amazing! Letting people use it: worst idea ever!

Anyway, there are two of the kiddie fiddling buggers at the moment: what happens if they disagree on even a trivial point, like "one sugar or two?"?

What's so special about that? Even the pope knows that we are approaching four billion infallibles on this planet. Most of them have been married by some poor fool and are (by dogma) never wrong. It's always the poor fool's fault.

And by the way: It's offensive how you infidels talk about my spiritual leader.
He is not infallible all the time. Only when he steps onto his balcony to proclaim his answers to some fundamental questions of faith. With devine aid his judgement will then always be right.

Hang on a mo ... he's only part-time infallible?

Well there's your problem. Guinea Pigs are like unbranded NiCads to Hamster Duracell - no staying power.
The only true use of a Guinea Pig is to be replaced before the kids notice it's died...

I think maybe it has something to do with the old adage; "While the boss is away the hamsters will play"?

I've read enough posts in this forum to know what happened to the hamsters.

I think I've got it running for now. One of the hamster cages went a little south for a while.
We'll keep an eye on the critters, and make sure they behave.

Still getting "The connection was reset" followed by a page load. It's an definite improvement on the SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE errors I've been getting all morning though.

OK, that's a new one.
I'm having a sit down with the hosting guys in an hour to talk through all of this. I think I'll need to write this whole thing up in a blog. It's been educational (euphemism alert)
cheers
