So... I haven't really been posting my SOTWs anymore simply because I'm quite busy and don't have a lot of time to listen to (new) music with my new job lifestyle and all...
However, I don't want you guys to become a bunch of uneducated Philistines due to a lack of culture on the forum
So today I heard this classic on the radio and thought I'd share.
Maurice Ravel - Bolero (Played by London Symphony Orchestra and directed by Valery Gergiev)[^]
I've heard this piece live once, but it wasn't half as good as this performance (a soloist was out of tune ).
I'm pretty sure at least some of you can enjoy this one though

This, however, is my favorite bolero[^]

Let me offer you a special gift: Happiness Stan - YouTube[^]
The first listen may be best under conditions of 'enhanced perception' - but it only makes it easier. The content is there - every word.

Rumour has it he swings his arms so violently that his stick routinely did fly off out of his hand and almost killed someone. Since then he uses a toothpick. You can't kill anybody with a toothpick.

Would that be the People's Front of Judea or the Judean People's Front?

One of my favorite styles of music - impressionism. Bolero and Ravel are personal favorites.

Via Google Anal-lytics:
Last week, two website hits in close proximity to "\" - ISP in Russia*
Many more overseas hits, far beyond normal, that day.
A constant dribble of more overseas hits from unexpected locations
Today, from Donetsk (Russian Occupied Ukraine)
So - now I am waiting - watching - waiting -
<EDIT>
Entire website has been, and always is, backed up in several locations.
</EDIT>
* I checked the Whois of the previous site before mine: source site, also Russian

Really depends on what "many more" means but any public facing site should expect site hacking attempts.
Actually if there was no such traffic then that might suggest that the monitoring had somehow been subverted.

I'd be more concerned with what customer information might exist on systems associated with your public-facing presence.

None - public facing or back-end - to be stolen.
It's an informational site and all the information is posted for all to see.
Nothing of value.

Does anybody else find the new Firefox busy indicator annoying?
It reminds me of the KITT Knight Rider car with the scanning back and forth.
Yes, I am dating myself with that reference. If you have no idea what Knight Rider is, then move along nothing to see here.

No - it really wasn't. It was great if you were 12 but looking back on it (I caught an episode on late night tv somewhere a while back) it was terrible.
I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended.
I am absolutely certain I don't want to live in a world in which you would never be offended.
