As a Capricorn I have to say it's high time the goat was appreciated for its true value and nobility. Too long have the sheep oppressed with impunity, pulling the wool over human eyes and fleecing farmers while ramming home their insidious messages of hate. The truth cannot be hidden much longer. It is time for a caprine Renaissance! Shame upon all those who deny it!
I am not a number. I am a ... no, wait!

I agree wholeheartedly!
We should make a stand to defend the noble goat, as he strives to live a humble but fruitful life in this world of greed and avarice!
Capricorns, though, they're cr@p.

I agree we should make a stand for the noble goat, but one with a rotisserie and a charcoal pit.

Well, in 24 hours, anyway. In lovely downtown Chattanooga.
If it's lovely....never been there before.
And I get to annoy all my favorite authors.

What Con?
Never been to Chattanooga, but have been other places in TN for various reasons (including Whitewater Rafting for Boy Scouts, THAT was FUN!).

Yeah, that's where the Con is, but I signed up too late so I'm staying at different hotel. :p

I've been there for conferences before and had a great time. They've got really great transportation busses that'll shuttle you around the city for free.

Me too, except it's still almost 24 hours for me. I'll be departing for there at an ungodly hour tomorrow morning.
Might do Thursday arrival next year if they end up starting extra early on Friday again (and not with filler panels); will depend on what the job situation looks like then.
I registered soon enough to get an on-site room; although as sprawlly as the ChooChoo is, it probably matters less there than at most others.

Yup. Did you?
My favorite moments were the Mad Scientists Roundtable; and the next morning when Toni ambushed Mike Massa and John Ringo mid-panel to get a contract signed.

As much as I expected, not as much as I had hoped. I don't like crowds...not that this was particularly crowded.

I put the video up on FB for the whole session. Well, pieces of it, anyway. A bit over a dozen pieces. The phone was getting too hot to hold for too long at a time. Whose brilliant idea was it to put a 4K video camera on a lithium-powered phone?

Not much to be done there. At this point I'm wondering how much longer it's going to be staying at the Choo Choo. LC's managing to outgrow that facility as thoroughly as it outgrew the old nasty hotel a decade ago.
I think Ravencon (aka Baenfest Junior) is a bit smaller than LC, but not by much.

Did you post the bit blowing Kelly's secret identity like the dude live-tweeting the panel did.

Probably the same people who decided that shaving an extra micron off its thickness was more important than any other capability they could add.
