So I did it : I had to program a plugin for an internal tool, had to use legacy C code and extend it, programmed it using VS2013 - the last time I had to compile something, it contained MFC - Well all good, and ... no stable Release. So I deployed the ... Debug version. Bad bad me.
It has all to do with some heap memory allocation as it seems (even after 10 years, some things you do not forget), maybe even some collision between oldskool C style calloc and new C++ style, plus I suppose the legacy code was not exempt of bugs either, but the ratio debugging time / nb users is tending to 10^10, so I took the easy path.
I know I eventually rewrite it completely, but that time has not come.
