Aftermath ?

What was sidetracking me was fermat is in aftermath but you are then left with hat.

Improper British. It should've been (10): aftermaths. The clue wouldn't even have to change.

That's not so cut-and-dried: math and maths mean the same, but the US version is slightly more sensible. "Mathematics" is plural (because it covers multiple disciplines geometry, calculus, and so forth) but it takes a singular noun: "Mathematics is his best subject" rather than "Mathematics are his best subject" so it's irregular for it's abbreviated version to append the "s".
In general, I'm getting used to the US version, and since there are more of them than us here (and many people learn US English from movies and TV anyway) internationalization means I'll use the more logical version here.

Last Friday my email in Outlook suddenly stopped working.
Didn't receive any email, couldn't send any email.
Decided to throw away my account and set it up again, sometime helps, for whatever reason.
No emails are synced, but at least I still have those online.
Folder are synced for some reason, so it's not like Outlook can't connect or anything.
However, Outlook also decided to throw out all my contacts, and I don't have those online
For some reason, those contacts can't sync to my email provider.
Losing all my contacts really sucks big time.
It seems to be an issue in Outlook since other email accounts aren't syncing either (although I think they were earlier).
Anyone else have this problem?
Also, anyone know if there's a way for me to restore my contacts?

Outlook is working fine for me ... Win 11, Outlook 2019 Version 2204 and Outlook 365 are both fine.
I'd contact MS tech support - they are pretty helpful and can dial in to fix it.

Just fixed it by completely removing Office 365 and re-installing it.
Contacts remain gone though

Samsung SideSync Smart Switch allows you to import your Outlook contacts into your Android contacts, and then, later, pull them back to Outlook (not just the old Outlook contacts). But it sounds like it is a little too late for that to work for you. And you would have to have a Samsung device (I think).
(And it looks like you can't get SideSync any more...)
