I prefer Windows 10 UI way over XP, but if we were talking about an OS that uses way less resources historically I would have gone with Windows 2000, for the lightest footprint but still a decent desktop for developing on.
Would I want to go back to W2K? heck no. But I do miss it's lightweight install and system requirements, XP was heavy compared to it, W7 nearly gave me shock with the install size. Win10 although heavy in some ways has some pretty good features that I would miss going backwards

Sort of reminds me of the installation instructions that are included with a CD/DVD drive. They are on the enclosed disc.
Or when you can't get logged on to your work computer and the support person says you need to install XYZ software so they can work on it remotely.

problem is. They cut the same line that provides data to most of the cell lines for the cell tower. I had to drive 4 miles from home to even make a phone call to ask for help.

Got the samething from British Telecom, 'consult our online services about why you can't get online'?, that made me laugh! If contacted the a human, was told the samething, asked for a supervisor and blew, apparently everyone can access through the app on there phone, which in my case uses the WiFi to get online, which was not working...
