No, people believed in COBOL until they had to deal with it themselves ...

Still a touch of wit left in the old man! +

I think there's a word or two missing in that sentence. Or I don't know how to read.

I fixed the error. It was neither.
As noted in the edit, "with" should have been 'wit'.
Anyway, good catch. No one else either noticed or cared. ( Warping. Whelping. Weeping )

I've done a bit of COBOL back in my college days.
Frankly I think I'd rather deal with Covid.

Hi All,
Had an odd exchange with an Agent. He wants me to alter my CV (again? how much can you polish a ***d?)
Well I ask him for a guide for what wants me to do for their clients (BAe?), 'Oh yes is the reply I will get that over to you', I was after an example of the additions. I get his email it has my CV with work experience high lighted yellow with add more details to do over the weekend. Am I at school? He has told me whats wrong but not how he wants me to fix it.

That's all you get for his fee. If you want more you'll need to pay up-front.

I seem to think he had brummie accent and seemed less positive & or scary.

I had to look "Brummie" up, so it means a Birmingham accent

Oh sorry, wasn't really paying attention! trying to think how phrase, got the bloody thing shipped despite interference... Being from Holland you have probably heard the accent. He also called from a Private Number and asked me to call back...

He has a point. I keep a master resume that has a ton of detail. The last time (5 years ago) when I was job searching I would create job specific versions of it.

Point, but that does raise an issue I have am wary of, I used Java 8 in a bit of a project to do X I am far (very far) from being a Java guru. If the agent or hiring manager is using buzz words to hire,
I'm not sure I want to be there...

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

A Scotsman, an Englishman and an Aussie are having a drink in America.
"You know", says the Scotsman: "I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgow there's a little bar called McTavish's. Now the landlord there goes out of his way for the locals so much that when you buy four drinks he will buy the fifth one for you."
"Well", says the Englishman: "at my local pub, the Red Lion, the barman there will buy you your third drink after you buy the first two."
"Ahhhhh, that's nothing," says the Aussie: "Back home in Sydney there's Bruce's Bar. Now the moment you set foot in the place they'll buy you a drink, then another, all the drinks you like. Then when you've had enough drinks they'll take you upstairs and see that you get laid, and it is all on the house."
The Englishman and Scotsman immediately scorn the Aussie's claims. But the Aussie swears every word is true.
"Well," says the Englishman: "has this actually happened to you?"
"Not me personally," says the Aussie, "But it did happen to my girlfriend."

Correct.
As it was my first one, I had no idea if it was too easy or too hard. Obviously, a bit on the easy side.

Don't let Griff be the benchmark for too easy... he is pretty darn good at them after all.
