Sounds correct, without having done any math yet.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

That's ok. As far as I know you just are not nerdy enough for that. But I have heard that a Disney fairy tale about space wizards against space nazis is desperately looking for an audience. How about that one?
(And get me one of those tribbles. I think he is a Klingon agent)

Don't tell me you don't know how quickly tribbles reproduce (if they were real).

A few years ago they put me in the 'attic' of the building, the 18th floor. From there I had this kind of a view: https://www.conrad-hotel.de/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/slider_1920_670_muenchen_Fotolia_78530602_XL_MichaelFleischmann.jpg
The mountains are not actually that close. That's a trick of photography, but on a clear day they take up the whole southern horizon.

When I was a student, I tried to be a good student, getting up at 5:30-6:00 and spend a couple hours in the quiet, cool morning repeating the stuff from yesterdays lectures and preparing myself for the coming day, reading the textbook materials. At this time, I was in love with baroque music, and the early quiet morning was perfect for switching on, say, some Vivaldi flute concerts for a quiet background music.
Only it didn't work that way. Again and again, I caught myself in listening intensely to the beauty of the music, not reading a single word from the textbook for at least ten minutes. I didn't get any real study done. But I heard a lot of great music.
Wouldn't a view like the one in your picture have a simlar effect? It is simply too beautiful to be ignored. It is difficult to concentrate fully on something else. Maybe after a few months you get used to it, the beauty is no longer essential to you, and you can concentrate on your work. But then it has, to a certain degree, ruined the joy of the beauty. That is a little sad.

Thanks for reminding me. I wanted to head out of town towards the mountains and record a (RC) helicopter video at different locations to make it appear as if its flying the entire way. Now where do I get a cameraman to shoot the scenes of it flying by?

It's just an effect of the zoom they use for these pictures. The mountains are about 90 km away, but the zoom makes them appear as if they begin right after leaving the city.

Pity about the religious building in the foreground.
I once did a hot air balloon trip over Bagan, an amazing experience. When I mentioned this to the pilot his comment was "yeah but I do this every day for 5 months of the year", made me a little sad to hear that such beauty can become stale after a while.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity

I would not see it that way. Isn't it a good thing that the view does not distract him anymore and lets him do his job?

Google Calendar: It can send you an email 30 mins ahead of time (and any other days/hours/weeks ahead) to remind you. Google Calendar[^]
I use it for WSO CCC, MOT's, car Tax & Insurance, birthdays (that one is handy - repeat each year, remind me one week before, and then again three days before the date so I get a card).
