After months of nagging I finally took my wife to the zoo. Sadly the caretakers didn't accept her.

Yes, it was catastrophic... but she was dogged and manage to cow the caretakers to do her bidding.

I believe that deserves a Boom Tish
Post Christmas party half day...

It doesn't make sense though - why would anyone in Wales tell someone to take a sheep to a zoo?
(I'm no fun at parties. Hate them.)

|
|
|
|
More to the point, why would anyone in Wales wear sunglasses?

Like all words in Welsh - exactly as it's spelled, believe it or not. Welsh is incredibly consistent in that respect.
"Us-trad-gun-lice" would be close.

I went to a zoo recently to see the wolves.
When I got there all I saw was a small caged area with a manky little Chinese dog.
It was a Shih Tzu!

Manky. I had to look it up.
My sister's got a Shih Tzu, and yeah, I would have to agree with that definition.

Are sheep so rare in Wales people go to look at them in Zoos?

New Zealand's got roughly 15-20 sheep for every person.
Mini busses are popular there, zoo's not so much.

Your stats are a bit old. It only about 5-7 now. Australia now has more sheep then NZ. About 3 times as many.
Too many of them have ended up in the oven.... Mmmmmm
