If they can stomach (or their nose can stand) lutefisk as my folks can, I suspect you are right.

When? Before the prohibition? I have heard that they are finally recovering from having to drink only Coors or Bud (both: YUCK!), but not when I lived there. Back then most of the drinkable stuff was brought by planes from this organisation: Airplane[^]
The price for the flights was ok, but the stewardesses were kindof unattractive.

I agree that both are irredeemably awful.
However they've got lots of awesome craft breweries now: Anchor, Sierra Nevada, Hopping Frog, Hill Farmstead, Dogfish Head, Lagunitas and Stone (which may have taken that plane in the opposite direction for their new bar in Berlin).
A couple of years ago I was at the Great British Beer Festival and I just camped out by the American bar because it was amazing.

What did put down as your email address? obnoxious.oaf@punchedstupid.com? That would be great if you did.

I have an Anti-Anti-Adblock script installed, so I don't get most of those.

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

IMO, the bouncer/MMA goon mishandled the situation.
He could have easily and "peacefully" overwhelm the drunken moron and wait for the proper authorities to come in and take the moron away.
I'd rather be phishing!

Rubbish, he decked the guy only after being attacked and then jumped on him (rather gently I thought) to eliminate any chance of repeating the performance.
The idea that someone should "peacefully" overwhelm an attacker is ludicrous. Take him down quick and imobilise him which is exactly what was done.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity
