Now, because some iteration of busybody has decided to stop spam reaching my mailbox, I'm stuck with nothing to do for the God-only-knows how many seconds it takes for the coffee machine to finish! (The period is measured in units of spam-deletion, not seconds.)

Found this[^] in an SO answer and thought I'd share it here - isn't that just the worst kind of lounge post??? 
Though what I'd be interested in also is whether they've made any commits to their forked repo. Should be possible through the Git API. Might be fun playing with.
Anyways, I thought folks here might find that helpful.

It is something you have graphically in GitHub itself...
Next to the fork button on the main page of the repo there is a number (always at least 1) - hit it...

I am contemplating writing a tutorial on how accounting packages work. This will include the use of an SQL Server 2008 database and Visual Basic 2010 - both being the free Express versions. Once the reader has the software on his/her computer they will be able to follow along and create the project as they go. I tried doing it in blog form but it became too cumbersome and lengthy so thought that a pdf file in book format would work better. Unfortunately I am not sure how to make this publicly available.
Does Code project support this?

But I'd suggest making it a series of articles with each foscusing on one element to bring the size of each down to manageble levels.
Have a look at some existing articles, and that should give you an idea of the size to aim for: Site Map[^]
Here's one of mine, which won a "best of the month" competition: Using struct and class - what's that all about?[^] and is probably as long as you want a single article to be.
